More than 75% of survey respondents at the Interop New York 2007 conference cited virtualization management as important or very important to their organization. Over 80% said they're putting a virtualization solution in place this year or next.

Aligning IT with business continues to be a rallying cry, but fewer than 25% of those surveyed had a solution in place.

 Top challenges include improving service levels (29 %), supporting new technologies/enabling innovation (22 %), and boosting staff productivity (17 %).

 While a few years ago reducing operation and managment costs was at the top of the list, this year only 11% of respondents called it their top challenge.
